Le Rideau Bleu

Refurbishment of a 100 sqm flat, in Palaio Faliro, Athens, Greece. The fireplace is the central element of the living room/kitchen area, dividing space into two uses and creating an axe with the dinning table which is placed as an extension of the fireplace. The cabinets on the right side of the fireplace have the same rhythm with the ones in the kitchen, creating an harmonious elevation. The mirror covering the main wall, lightens up the space and doubles it, while the mirror on the side of the fireplace, extends the dinning space visually. The blue curtain becomes the only bold element in the white minimal interior and adds an aesthetic of scenography to the whole composition. The black colour highlights details such as the edge of the kitchen counter, the extension of the fireplace, the light fixtures and the divider at the entrance area.
